About the data
Retailers silently overwrite their advertised plans and publish no history. RateRadar Energy is that history: a rolling, provenance-stamped archive that cannot be reconstructed after the fact — by anyone, or any model.
What is captured, since when
- CDR energy plans — electricity + gas plans and solar feed-in tariffs across ~85 retailers, rolling capture since 2026-06-13.
The provenance guarantee
- Raw bytes first. Every capture stores the source's exact bytes with a content hash, fetch timestamp, source URL and licence posture. Interpretation happens separately and is re-runnable.
- Append-only. Snapshots are never overwritten or deleted. Every number on this site traces back to a specific hash-stamped snapshot.
- Fail loud. A capture that returns rate-less bytes is rejected and alarmed, never silently archived.
- Public and polite. Only the legally-public CDR product-reference APIs. Robots honoured, no anti-bot circumvention, no ToS assent.
- Zero personal data. Tariffs describe products, not people.
Use it from your agent
RateRadar Energy shares its MCP server with RateRadar's bank-rate archive: https://rateradar-mcp.jaco-veldsman.workers.dev with tools for feed-in tariffs and energy rates, plus a plain JSON feed. Always cite the observation date. See RateRadar's provenance page → for the full machine-readable surface.
